Making Money With Amazon Turk

Are you looking to find an easy, make your own schedule, work from home type of job?  If so, I have good news for you!  Amazon is not only great for finding excellent online deals, but they also provide jobs for anyone!

One of the best ways to make money is by completing small jobs on Amazon’s Mechanical Turk. Mechanical Turk provides jobs that can’t quite be completed by a computer, and needs to be just a bit of human intelligence involved. Many of the jobs are very low paying, $0.03 or even $0.01 per job.

However, you don’t necessarily want to avoid those low paying jobs. The key to making money with Mechanical Turk is figuring out how long a job takes to complete, then do everything you can to lessen that time by being more efficient. Completing a $0.05 job in 10 seconds is much better than completing a $1.00 job in 10 minutes. If there are sufficient jobs available and you can keep your rate up, the $0.05 job works out to paying about $18/hour while the $1.00 job will only pay $6/hour. It is recommended you use a desktop stopwatch application to check the time and see how long the jobs take to complete.

Compare Jobs

It is a good idea to step back for a moment and think whether you make more money at your job or if there is more potential with Amazon Turk.  First of all, if you are a fast worker and you can perform tasks rather quickly, Turk is something to consider.

Now, consider your working job.  How much gas do you use getting there and back, and how much time are you wasting just drive to and from work?  What if you put all those hours into work at home?  Would you be making more money from home than your other job?  Now, think which one is more appealing.  Amazon Turk may be able to beat your minimum wage job!
