Is This Paid Survey Legit?

The Internet is great for many things.  We can find information on pretty much anything we’re looking for, read the newspaper, shop online, contact people and much more.  What people don’t realize is that the Internet is one of the best ways of making money.  There are so many job opportunities online that people don’t know about.

One way to make money is by doing online surveys, which you probably already know.  Although this may not be a good full-time job, it is a nice way to make some extra money each month.  The only problem with paid surveys is that there are a lot of scams out there.  Whether people want work done for free, or their goal is to get a hold of your information, they try very hardly to do so.

If you’ve found a survey that you’re interested in doing, or you like to get started, here are a few things you should take into consideration beforehand.  This may help you determine a legit survey and a survey scam.

Is This Paid Survey Legit?:

Looks:  Most websites you come across are very easy to tell if they’re a scam or not.  If they look fishy, aren’t designed well and don’t rank well in the search engines (being a site that no one knows about), they’re probably not the best site.  If it looks like a bad site, just skip it and move on.

Reviews:  Reviews can be helpful for many things.  You want to find reviews that are good and highly talked about reviews.  If people are telling you to stay away from a certain survey they most likely mean it.  Although, if they’re only saying good things about it, go for it!

Rules:  If the survey company follows the rules you should be fine. If they ask for little information (being nothing too personal), they are easy to follow and they pay you like they say they will, it’s most likely not a scam.

You always want to make sure you’re safe when on the Internet.  Never give out any credit card numbers, bank information or your social security number.  If you don’t have a good feeling about a website, go with another one.
