How to Tell a Paid Survey Scam

When it comes to making money, there are several ways to do so.  We can work for the man, ourselves, or even online.  There are several possibilities and there are many ways to enjoy making money.  A job doesn’t have to feel like a job.

If you’ve heard of paid surveys as a way of making money, you’d probably like to find out more about them.  They are very easy to do, and are many different ones you can take, but there are also a lot of scams out there as well.  When it comes to working online and making money, you always have to be careful.  You never know what you might get yourself into and whether or not you’re working for scammers.

If you’re interested in taking online surveys for money, but don’t want to get scammed, here are a few things to look out for and avoid.

• Information:  When you sign up for a paid survey, you may be asked a few basic questions like your name, address, age, gender and a few other questions.  Although, what you shouldn’t be asked is any type of credit card number, bank information, social security number or anything too personal.  If you’re asked any of the following, be sure to close the website and avoid filling out any of that information.

NOTE:  You may be asked for your paypal account.  This will allow them to transfer the money to that account online.  Then, you personally can transfer that money into your bank account.

• You may also find that the website looks legit, but you come to find out they never pay you.  I’d give them one chance, and if they screw up, no longer do surveys for them.
• Another great thing to do is to check reviews online.  If there is a certain name for the survey, type the name and "review" after it into Google.  You may be able to hear what other people say about it before you start taking it.

Most paid surveys are ok, but like anything you will run into a few bad ones or scams.  Just be careful, don’t give out too personal of information and go with what feels right!
