How to Make Money at 14 Years Old
Posted by admin | Filed under Making Money
14 years old may seem like an old age to you, but in the working world, you may find that it’s going to be awfully hard to find a job, since many either want a 16 year old, or even 18 year a old. If you’re out there looking for a job, I wanted to give you some pointers on how you can find a job, when you’re only fourteen years old in age.
#1 Start with restaurants – Mom and Pop based restaurants and even chains are notorious for hiring dish washers, and bus boys/girls to help clean up after patrons. Sure, it may be grunt work, but you will find that it can pay you $100 or so a week. Try job search engines that cater to young kids such as SnagAJob.
#2 Start up your own business - I don’t care where you live. Start up your own business in your subdivision. Go door to door and ask if you can plow the driveway, cut the grass. If you’re smart, let them decide the price and see what you can get in return.
#3 Try online surveys - There are research companies out there looking for younger teenagers, such as 14 and 15 year olds. Give out your opinion, refer others, and you can make a few dollars from the comfort of your own home. How cool would that be?
#4 Babysit - This mainly works for young female teenagers. Find some parents in the subdivision that are looking for babysitters. Hand out flyers and see if you get any responses. Make sure that you have good referrals, and it doesn’t hurt to get CPR trained as well.
#5 Sell on eBay - Get your parent’s permission and start selling things on eBay. Head to garage sales, find killer deals in your local department stores, and make a profit. Yes, you do need to be 18 years old, but you can make a nice side of money by doing so.
As you can see, there are a ton of options that you can take when you’re looking to make money on the side. Work hard, find something to do, and I can promise you that the jobs will come!
