How to Make Money as a College Student

When we’re in college we often have a pretty busy life with school.  Everything from going to class, studying, doing homework, and everything in between leaves us with little time to find a job, let alone work a job.

Most college students are broke, but you don’t have to be.  You don’t have to work a full-time job like your parents to make money.  There are a few ways you can make money.  Continue reading below to get started.

How to Make Money as a College Student:

Part-time – First of all, working a part-time job won’t kill you.  You can easily work around 10 hours a week if not more.  Just 10 hours a week at minimum wage is an extra $50 a week after taxes.  That’s not bad for a college student!

Babysit - You can always babysit the children in your neighborhood if their parents want to go out.  Babysitting is an easy job, is always available, and actually allows you to study during down time.

Tutor – Do you have a good skill that other people wish they had?  Maybe math comes easy to you, or perhaps a foreign language?  There are so many subjects out there that students wish they could master.  Although, a lot can’t unless they get that extra help.  Try tutoring!

Internet - The Internet is great for several things.  Doing things like blogging, freelancing, or writing articles for ehow can easily bring in money each week.  The opportunities are endless online.

Finding a job as a college student isn’t too hard.  Everything from working a part-time job at a store down the road, to working on the Internet can bring in money.  You don’t need that much money as a college student, so if you can budget properly, you will really go far with the little money you’re earning.
