How to Get Paid for your Photos

Did you know that if you take pictures, that you can upload them online, and get paid for them?  Since there’s a high demand for photos online for places such as blogs, and newspapers, this is a great way to take advantage of your freelance work, and get paid for it at the same time.

Start by browsing a list of sites that pay: WalletBoosters.com has a great list of places that will pay you for your photos.  As you can see by the list, there are literally a ton of sites wanting to pay you for your photos.  Make sure that you browse through a couple, and see which ones work best for you.

What you want to look out for

When you’re looking to get paid for your photos, there are a few things that you want to look out for, to ensure that you get paid the right amount for your photos.

• Your compensation: What are you going to get paid?  How are they going to pay you?  You’ll want to see if they pay you per sale, per photo downloaded, etc.  Every website is different, and you’ll want to make sure you know how you’ll make money.
• Is it legit? Yes, there are a lot of scams out there, and people will want to steal your photos.  Do a search on these companies, and see if they will pay.  A quick Google search will tell you if the site is going to pay, or not.  I would highly recommend you stay away from those that don’t pay.
• How’s the traffic? Sure, a website can sound like a great opportunity, but you soon find out that you’ll upload your photos, and no one is going to the site.  Most sites work on a download/sale basis.  If that website is getting no traffic, then no one is going to be seeing your photos.
• Is there a fee? If you have to pay a membership fee to join, I would advise by staying away from these.  A great site will want your photos, and won’t charge.  If you have to pay to make money, it just doesn’t make sense.
