Hey Neilson is a unique opportunity that you can take a part of. If you already didn’t know, Neilson is a massive research company that measures activity in just about every media market, as well as try to understands consumer behavior. If you’re looking to work with a major media outlet, you should highly look into Neilson.
Now, onto the review…
Right when you hit their website, you’re going to find that you’re going to have to give away your e-mail right away to get any information. Sure, this is clever, but a lot of people shy away from it, because it seems rather “spammy”, and I agree! Since they are a legitimate company known Worldwide, I decided to give them my e-mail.
What I soon found out is that you’re not going to get paid, but instead, you’re going to be able to rate big name commericals, and everything else. You would almost want to consider it more of an opportunity to work with others. It’s like a social marketing based atmosphere.
What I really don’t like about it is that they make you download a piece of software, and I’m very weary about downloading from sites that I never really frequent. Like many others online, I’m afraid of spyware, or what it’s doing. What I’ve found out is that some software is fairly hard to get off your hard drive as well, even for those that are savvy.
If you’re just looking to give your opinion, and you want to let Neilson know about your web activity, this may be your thing, but unfortunately for me, it’s not. I will give them a C+ based on their credibility, and the features that they do offer.
