ECN Research Review – Scam?

ECN Research, a very popular survey site that allows you to work with relatively big research companies that want your opinion.  The question is, “Do you want to give them your opinion?”

I joined ECN Research to see what the fuss was all about.  At first, I was already kind of annoyed with the sign up page.  They had asked so many questions right off the bat, which turned me off a little bit.  Many people just like to give the simple basics, so that they can get in right away.

As I signed up, I found within a few weeks that I was getting a load of e-mails from them.  I’m thinking, “Great!”   I thought all these e-mails for survey opportunities, but not all of them.  Let me explain how this works.

You’re going to find that there are surveys where you actually have to purchase things to get thrown into a raffle?  I’m sure people do it, but I wouldn’t.  Why pay to participate, when I’m looking to make some money here?

A lot of the other e-mails that I was receiving were flat out spammy offers, such as, “Get money if you click here now!”, and others.  They were way to good to be true, and of course, when I clicked on it, it didn’t say much, but give me your information, etc.

Everyone’s experience is going to be different with this company.  Yes, you can receive survey awards, but I’m just giving you guys a head’s up on how to avoid the spam, when it comes to your Inbox.

It’s up to you to see if it’s worth a shot.  It’s 100% free, and after what I’ve looked at, and read online, I’m going to give this company a B- just for their customer service, the survey they do offer.  If they laid back on the spam, I would give them higher marks.
