Did you know you can make $100+/month with paid surveys?.

5 Charity Fundraising Ideas

If you’re looking to raise money for a school, or make money for any type of fundraiser, I wanted to give you a few ideas that you can use in order to make money fast, and easy.

Establish an Auction

A good way schools can raise money is by establishing a fundraiser. The funds or money can go to school supplies, books, equipment, or field trips for the children.  The way to get a fundraiser off the ground is to contact local merchants and ask them to donate their products or services for free or at a reduced rate. Then take these items and put a minimum bid higher than what the merchant asked for. Because it’s a fundraiser, many people will bid for these items because they know its going for a good cause. The merchants will get good publicity, which will hopefully lead to new sales or customers visiting their stores.

Have a Bake Sale

This is another good way for schools to make money. During the holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas many people would love to have homemade desserts for their dinner table. Contact the PTO or PTA and see if there are volunteers to make desserts, cakes, cookies, brownies etc. Then during a school function such as the winter play, one could sell these desserts for a profit.

Contact a Manufacturer to See if They Have a Program to Raise Money

Many corporations have established programs to help raise money for their schools if you buy their products. For instance, General Mills gives 10 cents per box top sent in through their educational program. Research companies on the Internet to see which firms have corporate sponsorships in place to raise money for schools.

Involve Students

Another great way to make money for schools, is to involve the students in the activity. Say you wanted to promote student fitness, and raise money for new exercise equipment. One could donate money towards every mile a child walks. This way, the community would be getting healthier students, but also raising money for new gym equipment.

Throw a Theme Night

Have the school charge admission for movie night, Scary Gym night at Halloween, or sock hop. These events could raise a lot of money for schools.
