Upon heading to NPD online research, I had found that they looked like any other survey site on the web. The design was okay, a little cluttered, but I was able to find out how to sign up after digging through a few pieces.
Upon registering, I had found that I had to complete a survey just to get my account activated. This is something that I don’t enjoy, as what if I want to wait until later down the road to get it approved? While this is a first, it already gave me a bad impression on the company itself.
Now, I’m not here to bash them, but I can see how people can like a company like them, as they are legit. What I don’t like about the survey company is that they pay you with “points.” These points can then be turned in for sweepstakes rewards. While I find that a lot of people prefer Paypal or cash itself, the points system may not be for you, as it is rather limited and you can only “win” things.
Surprisingly, I was able to get a lot of surveys throughout the month that I tested them out. On average, I had around 4 surveys a week. Even if I didn’t qualify, they were nice enough to give me some points. Again, you can’t turn these points into cash, which is a major bummer!
Now, not to keep going back on the sweepstakes points system, but this is the thing I just hate about the company. Let’s say that you do a survey, get 10 points and you want to get something. Well, now you’re going to enter into a raffle per se. If you don’t win, you lose all of your points!
From reading things online, the people love that they get a lot of surveys, but they hate how they feel as if they wasted their time, as I can’t find that many people that have stated that they have won something.
Overall, the surveys do come through, but the most important thing is how you’re going to get your payment. To be honest, if this company would have paid in cash or points that you could cash in, I would have easily gave them an A, but instead, they receive a C- based on the raffle system. They are legit and yes, you’ll get surveys, but I think you will be better off elsewhere.
